Nancy Knowles is co leader of this group.
Members are invited to offer walks each quarter and this produces a list of walks for the following term. The quarterly list of walks are issued approx. one month ahead of the start dates. Click here "Walks Programme" to see details.
There are now three types of walks offered on the programme:
1. Easier 5: as a result of requests, we have introduced some walks of 5 miles or less.
2. Easier: The shorter walks over terrain with limited ascent. Walks in this category range from 5 - 8 miles.
3. Harder: Hill walking or walks longer than 6 miles. These would normally include some more strenuous walking with steep ground or longer distances over mixed terrain.
Walkers are responsible for making sure that the walk is within their own capabilities and are responsible for their own safety whilst on a walk. Suitable hill walking gear must be worn.
