Four Border Abbeys Committee

The committee are all u3a members who volunteer to willingly give their time and skills to our u3a for the benefit of all members. The four "Officer" positions on the committee must be filled in order for the u3a to function under its' registration as a charity. All committee members are also charitable trustees. Terms of office are limited to three years but all committee members are elected at the AGM annually.

Committee Meetings

Interested in joining the committee in any role?

Please do get in touch with any committee member to ask questions, or discuss responsibilities and any pending vacancies.

We would be very happy to talk to you if you are interested in joining us; attending a meeting is a good way to see what’s involved. 

Committee meetings are held most months of the year at various locations in Kelso.
Four Border Abbeys u3a Members are welcome to attend and observe.
Please enquire with the Chairperson via the Contact Us page if you wish to attend.

Forthcoming committee meetings: 16th April; 15th May.
From January 2026, committee meetings will usually be held on the 3rd Friday in most months.
